After a very galvanizing meeting with a contact for my 505 (Funadmentals of the Planning Practice) project, I'm finding it hard to do much relevant work, and am instead reveling in the splendor of my recently purchased $59.99/lb By The Pound Jasmine Dragon Phoenix Pearls as they unfurl in the slanting, wintry sunlight. Pretty. In other news, Maoxie is currently trying to break into the utility closet, and I don't understand why.

So last night I had this dream about a former student from my school in Tokyo. He was Napoleonic in both disposition and stature, and always wore boots with slightly elevated heels. In the dream he was a nefarious ice-skate thief who chased me around dry land in skates, trying to steal mine for his collection. High drama!

Also, happy birthday yesterday to my mom. Woo.
